New Librarian On behalf of the Board of the North Hatley Library, it is my pleasure to announce that a new Librarian has been chosen to replace our retiring Susan Gwyn. The successful candidate is Ms. Annie Potter of North Hatley. Annie was born in the Eastern Townships but moved to England as a child. She returned to Quebec as an adult and to North Hatley specifically two years ago.

Annie is fluently bilingual; has a B.A. in English and French Literature and an M.A. in Psychology of Education. She brings to us her wealth of experience as an instructor, a supervisor, an administrator and an educator, especially with children, as well as an outgoing, friendly and lively personality.

I believe that our Library is blessed to have found such a qualified replacement for Susan and we all look forward to working with her. Annie takes on the role of Librarian on June 1st, 2010 but you can meet her earlier as she is already a volunteer. Want to know if she's related to Harry? Just come into the library and ask her!
